A Fashion Statement

As George Clooney’s wife struggles with her new ‘fashion icon’ status toppling  Kate Middleton off the top spot at SOS we began to think about our female golfing fashion icons and their unique style.

Michelle Wie, sponsored by Nike, can be seen wearing their latest designs and combinations of technical fabric and fashion, with the emphasis on function on the golf course. Paula Creamer, on the other hand, oozes girly girl glamour with her on and off course fashion profile hotly snapped by the media!  For us though this season’s our best golf fashion picks are European and play regularly on the Ladies European tour.

This week the LET is in Turkey and trying a fantastic new formula playing Sunday through Wednesday.

Melissa Reid of England during the first round

Leading after round one is Melissa Reid often called England’s blonde bombshell , adding both glamour and style to our sport with the very latest must haves….Often seen in 7/8th trousers- check out our AUR or Golfino look alikes at SOS not to mention her stylish collection of zip up dry fit layers.  We are loving this year’s SOS Layla in pink , white and Pacific blue, a wardrobe must have, especially at £34.99!!!

Next is the uber talented Gwladys Nocera ( currently lying 3rd in Belek!)  tipping into the forever 40 bracket she has always worn Lacoste clothing and with her mix of Pastel colours, chino skorts, shorts and trousers she always looks understated and yet extremely smart. Check out our Abacus range of Ladies corals, navy and reds which would aptly fit into Gwladys ‘s wardrobe. Abacus proudly dress the Solheim Cup and having had a sneak peak at  this year’s designs ; all those playing will certainly get us wanting to follow them both on the course and in their style. Check out our Abacus Solheim Cup Collection at SOS and our exclusive competition coming soon.

We could have looked at ‘fabulous at 50 ‘ Helen Alfredsson  or Isabelle Boineau whose sporting Icon Roger Federer is definitely a male fashion leader but we must surely mention Charley Hull, the youngest player ever to win the LET order of merit, overflowing with both talent, youth and optimism. We cannot help but admire her style ….and her choice of visor…the Surprise shop pink, white, black or navy with magnetic ball marker…..We whole heartedly agree with her choice! The ultimate in comfort and flexibility they are always in stock at SwingOutSistergolf.com
